OK I tested this now on a ASUS 8" Tablet Android 6 and all the menus are OK.

File layout is the same for most Garmin units.

After you install the app the Garmin folder is made. (you do not have to make one)
Just start any of the apps and the folder is made.
Any map img files you put in goes under the Garmin folder.
    Be it gmapprom.img , gmapsupp.img names.
Note if you are using any official Garmin's maps you will need the unlock key file also.
    Be it gmapprom.unl or gmapsupp.unl
They go in the Garmin folder too.

Open street maps do not need a unlock key file.

Then you add a GPX folder under the Garmin folder for any tracks you have or Geocaches.

You will need to start those apps so the files show up on the map you use.

I would think you would need a folder called POI under Garmin folder if it will work.

This unit was made to Hiking and Biking so the chances POI work you will have to test.

You can even add the folder Vehicle with all the Icons and that works too.

You need to open the Settings Icon to change and setting.

    The application loads ok

Nowhere do I see the maps I uploaded to the GARMIN folder
    Maps were gmap3d.img, gmapprom.img and gmaptz.img
    I didn’t try other options.
    poi and cameras
if anyone has a solution let them write it to display maps

There is new "settings" app that gets installed when you install the apk. The icon has a checkbox for car and truck.
Open that app (Settings) and go to > Map Settings > Map Information to see if the maps are enabled are not.
    Maps should be loaded automatically.

If the maps are present and enabled there and if you still can't see them on the map screen, then go to normal android settings and then apps, search for "garmin" and then select GOA app, then select "stop app".

Just use routable open street maps they are free no need to make maps.

Download the map or maps and put it in the \Garmin <--------folder
Then go to the settings app:
    :Map Settings
    :Map Infomation
And turn on the map or maps you installed.

If you are using official Garmin maps like the City Navigator Europe NT map you will need the unlock file also.

    Spoiler: Free routable open maps

    hello.
I have downloaded City Navigator Europe NTU maps but I don't see the maps even though they are unlocked. I see an ADRIA route 4.20 NT map that is 200 mb in size. Other cards are more 2.1GB
I also see the Europe DEN maps.
the voice works, the vehicle can be selected.

Maybe problem NTU or NT maps.
Yes problem is not have UnicodeMaps[/B] in datotech GarminDevice.xml (unicodemaps for NTU maps)
