Could somebody please explain to me the major difference between 2.35 and 2.37 Search function?

In 2.35, I was able to type in 123 main st from the Search you see on Main screen. SP would find the address just fine. If I do the same on any other SP 2.3x, it can't find the address. Then you have to use the Address icon from Where To after you add shortcut.

For 2.37 800x480, after adding shortcut of "Address" under Where To, I still could not find "123 main st"
