    I'm looking for a new phone which is capable of running Garmin's Streetpilot. So I read back and forth through this thread and made a list of devices that were reportet to run it or not. May be others are interested, too - so I'm sharing it.

    Samsung S3. I still have problems to use jcv. I updated the maps. I use eu2014.30. The normal map and the 3d map are shown in "mymaps". If I start SP there are no messages. The maps are in .system the jcv is in system/jcv. If a crossing comes, the upper screen get gray but now picture with jcv. I tried the D2504150A.jcv and also the D3084120A.jcv Does anyone know what the mistake is?

    @groschi2

    With this StreetPilot version you should use unicode map of Europe with JCV file for nuvi 40/50 and similar, for example: City Navigator Europe NTU 2014.30 with the D3589100A.JCV

    thank you. I tried it. The next crossing, which I simulated until now and where the gray picture came in the past. ther is nothing with the new jcv-file. But the new file is smaller. Perhaps there are less crossings inside, than in the other. I must try it with an other crossing.

    Have you changed your NT map for NTU map?

    @ Cnfhbr: Thank you for your hint. I didn't know, that jcv depend on the img-version. But it sounds logic. Now I'm loading the NTU-Version. Is the 3D map also different? I think not.
    Is it also possible to use jcv-files from NT-maps with NT-img-files on a s3 Android version?

    The gmap3d.img is created in the process of compiling the main (detailed) map!

    Yes, it's possible if the relevant JCV file (ie for nuvi 40/50) exists for this map. This applies to US/EU JCVs mainly, and this StreetPilot version. There is a different situation with Asian JCVs ...

    Unfortunately Nuvi 40/50 receives from Mapupdater and G. Express CNE NTU and NTU JCV, NT JCV for Nuvi50/40 doesn't exist, so if you want to see junction view pictures in SP you must install CNE NTU, along its own additions files.
    JCV files have mapIDs from connected map tiles.
    Additions files are version dependent.
