Install Garmin Street Pilot v.2.16 Samsung Galaxy Android 4.1.2 Detailed Instructions&Pics

I've successfully installed SP v2.16 using StreetPilot_216_no_root_sdcard.apk copied the Garmin Folder on Phone Memory on my friends SGS 2. Works great! battery and Satellite Signals and Volume (though need to adjust volume every time SP is open) with 4.1.2 I9100DXLSD firmware Non Rooted. But on my SGS3 with 4.1.2 I9300XXEMB6 the battery icon works fine except the satellite signals still in red!

I guess firmware version gives different results..

I guess it's your map, try with another map, CN South America if you look for Argentina, and use Mapinstall to make your .img not Mapsource

Hi. I've generated a new Mapear map (last version 10.2) with Mapsource and imported into StreetPilot.
It's working better now. At least it does not crash any more while searching an address and it creates the route. It crashes however, when I hit the button to recalculate an alternative one, that means, it will probably crash after a recalculation if I miss the track.

Try to use Mapinstall instead to generate the .img. MS is discontinued with some maps it creates maps can crash in some zones using Nuvis for example.

What do you mean with "Mapinstall"?
EDIT: Never mind. I didn't know about MapInstall. I'm not sue if it works with Mapear, as well as I know, it only can be created with MapSource. I will take a look.
EDIT2: It works too. Thanks for the tip. I'll report how it works now with SP.

I´m trying all posible solution... but the result is ever crash while recalculating.

My solution for now??? I´m using Navitel 5.0 with Mapear 10.0

Hello Towerpc. I am from Argentina and having the same problem with Mapear and Street Pilot. I am also using Navitel 5 with Mapear. When I have to calculate a long trip (Ex Buenos Aires - Cordoba, it last a long time in calculating route, about 3 to 5 minutes. I am on Galaxy S2 original Claro firmware. Jelly bean.)

Hope you can tell me if you are experiencing same problems

try to use City Navigator....as I experienced it's always crash on SP if use other map than city navigator...although it works on nuvi but doesn't work on SP...
