Thread: How to install any Garmin map on Iphone Garmin StreetPilot

I've tried but run into authentication error. From reading this forum, apparently you'll either stick to 2.2 or pay for 2.3 and above. Not tried firewall methods yet.

Pedestrian mode works only with WiFi connection.
Is it possible to navigate in "Pedestrian mode" without WiFi?

for version 2.4.1, put your custom map in the basemap folder, remove the original basemap, then rename your custom map to gmapbmap.img and you will then be able to use it. Although it still will not be listed in your Mymaps settings

My friend, it does not work. You can see the map but you can create a route. As we are closer!!

Perfect! I got the download link, and it works great. I actually found it in this thread, I didn't search through all 50 pages diligently enough! Found it on post #344.

I have a question though, first I installed 2.0. When I did that, while I searched for an address, it would actively search and pull up the best options while I was typing. I can't get it to do that in 2.2. Can anyone assist me with that? I got everything else working, including the google search, 3d structures, traffic and weather. But while I search, it doesn't bring anything up, and I'd really like it to, can anyone assist with this? It does find things after I press search, just not while i'm typing. Not sure, but this might be the "instasearch" feature or something not working..

I did find something in the "search_menu.plist" named "quickspellsearch" does that have anything to do with it?

I'm using Garmin 2.2 with the N.A map 2014.20, now I have two problems for your help. I followed tonytone's instruction and most of the function worked very well.

1. I used D3060****.JCV which is fullscreen, but I didn't see how it worked. I checked it by GPS Simulator but no junction view showed. Should I use D3191****.JCV which is splitscreen?

2. I try to download free extras in app but when I click the "free" button there's no response at all. How can I make traffic trends work?
When I clicked the traffic button there's traffic information shown but it only worked with internet connection, so it's not traffic trends but only traffic services, right?
