The GPSMAP 64 series have been around for some time now.

The new GPSMAP are the GPSMAP 66 Series and GPSMAP 65 Series.

But not everyone is in need of a high end model.

The eTrex series are very good too. Both the Normal and the Touch screen models.

It all depends on what your needs are in the way of GPS.

As for me and the wife we do a lot of hiking and geocaching.
For the groups I take out hiking I supply them with the eTrex model 20, 30, 22 and 32.

I myself use the GPSMAP 66 and the wife uses the eTrex 22

There are many deals out there to fit anyone pocket.....and needs

The only difference between the GPSMAP 64s and GPSMAP 64st is the 100K topo map Garmin preloads to them, which is non routable and really just for reference only purposes.

If someone wanted a GPSMAP 64 for any reason, they would be well advised to look at the new GPSMAP 64x series that are preloaded with the new OSM-based Garmin TopoActive routable maps that are updated for free twice a year.

Now, having used the new Multi-Band GPSMAP 65, I wouldn't even consider a GPSMAP 64.

Jessuz - Started reading the review and it is full of so much incorrect and misleading information....
