Success! The first file I downloaded must have been corrupted-this one works perfectly in the latest version of BaseCamp Mac (4.2.4) as well as the final release of RoadTrip Mac (2.0.2). I haven't tried to load the map onto my Oregon, but since I can see and manipulate the map in both of the aforementioned apps, I am confident that it will work on the Oregon as well (but I will verify to be sure). Catymag, I am in your debt-thanks so much for all your help!
