SRTM v2
This is a compilation of publicly available topographic data compiled into a format compatible with most Garmin GPS receivers.

Coverage

The East Malaysia map covers the whole of Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan and Brunei and a small portion of Kalimantan (approximately N0.75 E109.5 - N7.55 E119.5)
The West Malaysia map covers the whole of Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore with a bit of Thailand and Sumatra (approximately N1.1 E99.5 - N6.8 E104.4)

Raw Data

The raw data for these maps is from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (version 2) as collected from the Space Shuttle Endeavour over 11 days in February 2000. It has a resolution of 3 arc-sec (~90 m).

Resolution

The topographic maps have been compiled with contours at the following intervals:

* Minor 10m
* Intermediate 100m
* Major 500m
* Shoreline contour at 3m

Usage

These 'transparent' maps contain contour lines only. It can be combined with street maps from malsingmaps
