Yes, that was it. Obviously, I'm new at this.

So, if I've unlocked the map in Mapsource, why when I try to use MapInstall to install the map to the device (or the SD card in the device) does MapInstall tell me the map is locked? Can I regenerate another unlock code or do I need to use the same as I did when I unlocked the map in Mapsource?

And if I wanted to update my North America map (now it's 2010.40) with the newer 2011.10, can I just install 2011.10 in Mapsource or do I need to delete 2010.40 first?

Sorry for the dumb questions but even after reading all the stickies and help here, I'm having trouble understanding the difference between what's installed and unlocked on the PC and what needs to be transferred to the device.
