Thread: Post here please your help request regarding Garmin

I am using Garmin XT on my WM cell phone Toshiba G810.

I have successfully installed the North American map and it is working fine. However I wish to know can I use the 3d image files and the lane assist files in Garmin mobile XT?

If it is affirmative, I will just need to copy it into the Garmin folder? My Garmin XT is install in the main memory of the phone whereas the map is in the card. Shall I just dump the 2 files in the Garmin folder of the card (with the map)?

How about if I install some more maps which are also having its 3d image files and the lane assist file. What to do with the new file names? I understand from other threads that I can change the name of the img files for the different maps so Garmin can read it but how about the 3d image files and the lane assist files.

Moreover in the North American version 40 map, it don't hve the lane assist file which is available in the 30 version map. Can I jsut use the ver 30 file in ver 40 map?

I also notice a time zone file in the 2010 North American map thread. Where shall this file go?
