    How do I load a Garmin Bluechart img file into the Garmin Homeport marine navigation program? Do I need to convert the img file or what. I have both but cannot use them. Please help.

    Make a Garmin directory on a SD card and put the gmapsupp.img file in that directory. Plug the card into a SD-to-USB adapter and plug it into your PC that has HomePort installed. If you have a portable USB drive, try that. I have a SanDisk Cruzer 8gb drive that works with HomePort.

    does any body has the list of maps, in FBL format,
    ( used in Nav N Go I GO 8)

    I'm looking for sri lanka map,

    i do have maps for other 98 countries, if any body wants, i can give,

    Hi all
    I would like to know how you can have more then 1 map on my mobile as I have Aus maps on the phone now runs ok N97 how can I add china and Taiwan maps so that when i travel there all on the phone together?

    noob question?

    you can have 3 maps in you phone rename the added maps gmapsup1.img and
    gmapsup2.img if you want more you must merge them in one map with
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    limit is 4gb

    hi guys,

    i've downloaded a gmapsupp.img file for South america and would like to know where to put it on my Garmin Nuvi,

    should i just rename it gmapsup1.img and then past into root directory on dev/SD card.

    Have tried using gmaptool but believe i dont need this and should be able to put on device.

    hope someone can help

    Nuvi Internal Memory

    1) gmapprom.img - Preloaded Map
    2) gmapprom1.img - Preloaded 2 Map (If there is)
    3) gmapsupp.img - Secondary Map
    4) gmapoem.img - OEM Supp map
    5) gmapsup2.img - Secondary 2 Map
    6) gmaptz.img - Time Zone Map
    7) gmap3d.img - 3D Image Map (7x5 Series)
    8) gmapbmap.img - garmin Base map

    Storage Card :
    1) gmapsupp.img - Secondary Map
    2)gmap3d1.img - as second 3D Buildings Map (7x5 series )

    in sd put it in a folder named Garmin ( just one map per sd is supported)

    Don't now about other nuvi models, but the below is on my internal memory from the factory on my nuvi 775T:

    gmap3d1.img - as second 3D Buildings Map (7x5 series )
