You could buy two maps, Alps & DACH to get Germany and France & Benelux to get Belgium:

for £5.01 more I guess that's a no-brainer. Although you can't fit all of EU on your device, you could use the PC Installed data to load only the regions you need to either the device or onto a microSD. Alternatively buy the microSD version which will allow you to move the mapping to any other compatible Garmin device (because the mapping is locked to the ID of the card, not the ID of the device). Another possibility to investigate is buying another Garmin device with full EU as OEM from ebay or gumtree. For under £100 you'll probably find a recent LM model and you can always sell it on later after your trip.
