Hi All.
My g2 Vision Chart has TWO img files.
The chart is VUS512L, and contains an img file 512A and another one 512L.
Why two img files?
Do the new g2 Vision "HD" charts also have these two img files, or just one?
Thanks
I recall that thread, but I re-questioned it because I just received an updated VUS512L and it only had ONE img file in it.
A 512L, but no 512A.
I am thinking I got a hacked chart image and the maker left out the 1' HD Contours.
Shouldn't a legitimate Garmin g2 Vision card have an unlock code file?
Thanks for the help.

@timp4411
It looks like you bought a fake. Most likely, this is an old chart with an edited header.
Check the creation date for the subfiles of this chart via GMapTool or ImgTool.
With the official purchase you get UNL and GMA files to unlock the chart in you device.
Thanks for the info.
I'll take a close look using gmaptool again.
What should the creation date be ?
I had looked at the charts briefly using gmaptool to verify the "version" and it ooked like one of the newest versions.
But I know that much of the info can be manipulated and changed to show something else.
Do you have a link to ImgTool?
GMP subfiles must be created in the current year.
Also pay attention to the year of copyright in the subfiles.
Here it is:

CNFHBR,
Thanks for the link and all of that info.
I'll report back once I get a chance to review the img file.
I just looked at the GMP files and the date is 25.7.2014.
Only 3 years older than now.....
The chart is "supposed to be" v2017 v.18.50
So I guess I have been ripped off.
