AFAIK, JCV files are not locked.

I installed this map whith file .JCV in my nuvi40, but did not work...
It's correct? or is there another file for the model nuvi40?

I dont know what are you referring to, there are just two JCV files to download in starting post and only one for nuvi series 30/40/50.

Only Raster JCVs will work on your nuvi 40, not SVG JCVs.

The JCV file posted +/- 38,500 KB (very large ) is not for nuvi 30/40/50 . Archive for nuvi 30/40/50 +/- 16000-18000 KB .
