I think you can search in the Foursquare map data in older nuvis from the menu Where to? > POI of interest > Search but you can't have the Foursquare menu icon appearing in the Applications menu which only appears in the newer nuvis 2xx9. Which is quite useful btw.

Had a go and it did not appear to work. Added the image unlocked into the .system/map/FoursquareMap and the SID into the right directory. Went into search and picked a category but could not see the FourSquare icon next to the results in the search list. Connected my iPhone via bluetooth and got to see items on my phone only for FourSquare as I would have expected via Garmin Smart Link. Perhaps others who have a bit more knowledge maybe able to figure it out but done all I can
