    Hi,

I think Mapparonni was speaking about the ten Topo Norway experience maps, the only Norway topo maps having active routing : in effect, merging the ten maps leads to loss of active routing :

Which tool to use for getting rid of overlapping maps ?

1- Split each 4 map with Gmaptool

2- Then use MapSource to select tiles.

The resulting merged map weights 1.8 Gb.

    Active routing is lost.

You could continue and create a complete map of Sweden that can be opened in Mapsource and Basecamp:

    - split the 1.8Gb mapset into separate map-tiles with GMapTool once again.
    - join them with GMapTool or MapSetToolkit to a new map with one FID and install it.

A faster mathod: split all 4 original maps in one folder, sort them by size and dele all double maps that have exactly the same size.
Then join them to one map.

Okee, than we can make 1 gmapsupp.img with 1 FID. Even we can give the img a productnumber (010-12345-00 or something else. )
Next challenge is than to merge the 4 original sql databases with Activerouting-info to 1 database with the same productnumber as the *.img I guess.
I found some sites with info for merging sql(light) databases, but its rather complex and requires programming experience.
    I give it a try

Good luck and keep in mind that the db files themselves contain much overlapping data as well.

Default TOPO v4 Gotaland will make my four Topo Sweden v3 invisuable.

I have all four parts of v3 Topo Sweden installed on my Oregon 600. When I installed the new Gotaland v4, all four v3 maps are not visuable and can thus not be selected anymore.
Anybody else having this problem. Seems like v2 and v1 will stay untouched (saw that on my friends Oregon 600).
    I downloaded from post#1.

What name did you give the new (v4) file?
What was the name of the v3 file(s)?
Did you possibly overwrite the old files?

I named the Topo Gotaland v4>>Götalandv4.img.
All v3 maps have unique names, no map is called gmapsupp.
    No overwriting is done.
If I change file name of Götalandv4.img to Götalandv4.imgX, all v3 maps will reappear.
I have a lot of other mapfiles in a separate slash folder within Garmin folder. They are all X-ed out (.imgX) and shouldn't disturbe operation. At least it has been no problem pre Gota v4 install.
