I used MapUpdater to download Europe NTU 2015.10 & what i found is that i had an update for the DEM file also.

The size of the files is exactly the same, 310,392 kb
In my case with nuvi 3490 this new Europe DEM file came in the .System folder as D2249750A.img. In order for the device to see it as a DEM map in "my Maps" menu and for me to be able to check or uncheck it must be renamed to gmapdem.img.

Strange things are happening with 2015.10 Map updates specially if you use GarminMapUpdater.exe
Express seems to work better.
I think Garmin Needs to get house in order.The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.

I just updated with Express but not without problems.
The installation needed 5,7Gb and I only had 5Gb free. After deleting all ASR files I had 6Gb free and I could continue.
I also let Express install CN on my PC, it not only installed the map but also replaced Basecamp v4.3.1 with the old one (v4.2.5) again!

Have the same problem with GE, he didn't delete old files from unit.
When i download maps i have on unit all old + new files ASR, SID, JCV and .db in Sqlite
I must manualy delete all old files from unit so that now have only new files from 2015.10
Don't know what Garmin broke again in GE i think we must whait 5 version of GE and then will maybe work again like he must.
