OKOKOK, correction needed. I'm checking the latest info via Topografische kaarten e-shop, and it turns out what they have, is also the outdated information (see attached picture). So the mapinfo (CN & Topo) must be retrieved from two different sources then.

To unlock just use gimgunlock, look at
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You can see the map easily with Basecamp, just put the map on yourGPS or usb or virtual disk (in the right directorie: Garmin). For use with Basecamp and usb or virtual disk, You don't have to unlock the file.
For using the trails you must put the .db file in the SQL directorie.
For use with Mapsource you must split the file with GMapTool. Install the map as a Windows-registry map or make a gmap-version with JaVaWaMapConverter.

Thnx. But for JaVaWA it needs a TDB file.

GMapTool creates the gdb for you.
Instead of hitting the install.bat you can use JaVaWa MapConverter.

Did you split the img in GMapTool with the option "Create files for Mapsource"?
If you did, a tdb file would have been created.

You used GMapTool to split the map, right ?
In the directorie where the splitted files are saved is there no mapset.tdb ?
If not, I think you don't used GMapTool in the right way. Read instructions on GMapTool-site.
(I just spilt the img and used Mapconverter and I get a proper gmap, visible in Mapsource)

O sorry, I see now that the question was already answered by Mapperoni when I was typing.
(But there is a strange effect in searching with CN when the Topo NL is on your gps, even disabled. Needs more time to analyse).

Solution for older GPS: make Named Trails visible with a red line!

On the Topo Belux Pro thread we discussed the incompatibility of the Dakota (and others like the eTrex 20/30) with Active Routing maps.
One aspect of Active Routing is the highlighting of roads and footpaths with a red color if there's a Named Trail on it. Older units can't manage the special typ definitions that are used by Active Routing.

I attached an adapted typ file that makes the hidden streetlabels visible.
I also created another version of this typ file that will show a red line aside to all roads and footpaths and also show the Named Trail label in red. This typ file is intended for older units and Mapsource but can also be used on new units (Oregon 600 for instance). You'll have both a highlighted road and a red line or if you prefer the red line only you can change your Activity to one that doesn't use Active Routing.

    * note that not all Topo Pro maps use highlighted road classes for Active Routing. Topo France Pro for instance uses exactly the same red line as I do here!
    * the red streetlabel will be visible in Mapsource and older units (60CSx), my Oregon 600 and 62s show all streetlabels in black, nothing I can do about that.

    Topo Nederland Pro in Mapsource:

Typ file with visible streetlabels: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Typ file with red streetlabels + red line: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

The same typ files for Topo Belux Pro can be found here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I have Oregon 600 with this map and City Navigator Europe, but I seem to not be able to search by address on the City Navigator map any more.
When I search for an address, I have to select Province/State. (which I normally did not have to select when combining City Navigator with Benelux 2010)
When I then just continue, only 'pseudo' address on the NL topo are found, not the true (and preferable) addresses on the City Navigator map...

    Anyone can reproduce this?
