hi,
i've just downloaded Europe Image ALL: (3.03GB) unlocked. Everything is fine but when I choose "map info" from my Garmin nuvi 510 said "Europa 2013.xx" (don't remember xx number ;D ).
Why?
Thanks in advance,

Guys, I have a Garmin 40 gps with an older map version and downloaded the 2014.30 Mapsource version of City Navigator Europe and also the D30841520A.JCV file with the "junction view". I used Mapsource to select a few countries and send it to the gps, then I noticed that it has created a new Garmin folder inside the root of the gps and installed there the gmapprom.img new file. As I know that this file must be in the .\System folder I moved it to that folder and it worked OK.
Then I noticed that the "Junction View" function doesn't work anymore and afetr a few search I saw that I have to download a new version of this JCV file, compatible with the 2014.30 version map and I downloaded the D30841520A.JCV file, removed older the files I have inside the .\System\JCV folder (an old JCV file D2922000A.JCV and also another file D2922000A.sum) and put the new file inside that folder, but it doesn't work... it has 312.169 KB. Any help? Do I need also a new xxxxxxx.sum file as I removed a file like that?
Nothing to do with .sum files, they're checksum files made by the unit and you can delete any of them without harm.
Whay you do need for your unit is a different map. This version will run ok if you don't need to use Cyrillic script, but there is no JCV file issued for it compatible with xx series nuvis. The nuvi xx VCJ files are encrypted differently to the ones available in here which are only for nuvi xxx & xxxx series. If you want JCV, dl the Unicode version map and D3589100A.JCV from here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did what you said, downloaded the Unicode version and the D3589100A.JCV from the links you showed but unfortunatly it didn't work at all. After installation of the CNE NT Unicode 2014.30 map, the Mapsource didn't open anymore, nor the Basecamp... I did uninstalled the map but it didn't correct the problems and right now both programs do not work
Any help?
I am using Windows 7 64 bits.
Thanks

Hi again, I made a cleanup of all related with Mapsource and Basecamp, registry included, then I reinstall Mapsource with no maps, then this NTU 2014.30 map only and then it worked and I managed to send the map and JCV file to the Nuvi 40 and now it works well with the jucntion view.
Maybe it was as incompatibility inside Mapsource because I have both versions installed, the NT and the NTU... could it be the case?
Anyway, right now everything works, THANKS![]()
