I advise you to use JaVaWa TYPchanger because it's the easiest way to change a TYP file inside an img.

Ok, I'll guess I have to wait until I have my GPS with me, because Javawa GMTK appaerantly cannot read img files from a (imdisk virtual) sd card.
@ Mapperoni, the typ expert or somebody else. When you use Topo Belux Pro with Basecamp, the important trails liike Gr appear in a Red colour. In my device ( i've got a dakota 20), the colour is white, even when i use your modified typ. Is it possible to keep the red colour, it would be more confortable to read the map. So, and how ? Thx.
Unfortunately the Dakota doesn't support Active Routing.
If your device supports it the map will highlight Marked Trails differently depending on the chosen Activity.
When the Activity is set to Hiking you'll see different trails and clolours than if you set it to Mountainbiking for instance.

Is it true that this map does not work on Edge devices?
I don't see any Edge on the list of supported devices
I know of at least one person who does not see the map in the list of maps on his Edge device.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

On my Edge 800 the file is readable and can be enabled/disabled.
Did you check the MS-flag with GMaptool? Can you post a logfile out of GMaptool here?
@smokefree
I can confirm, that on the EDGE 800 can be stored multiple maps within the GARMIN folder on a SD card. The maps can be enabled/disabled in the main menu.
