So the restart problem happens on the original unpatched JCV as well. It looks like a firmware bug or incompatibility issue to me. You can only hope Garmin to release a new firmware to fix that. Originally Posted by karaoke

Using the simulation mode, I have yet to get the JCV to work with my US Nuvi 3490. Software Ver. 7.60 Firmware 3.04.03. I have City Navigator NT Thailand 2013.30 Dual named as gmapprom.img in the garmin directory on sd card along with the JCV file. Suggestions anyone? Thanks.

Set your location in Bangkok and simulate a route out-bound using a major arterial road [freeway/expressway] and you should see something. Press the top LH corner [turn arrow] to scroll thru the route, when it finds a JC view it will display on the RH side of the screen instead of the route map.
The *.jcv file needs to be in a sub-folder named JCV in the Garmin folder of microSD card. Originally Posted by gypsy
