There is never an absolute need to run the installer for MS/BC/MI even for fixed versions. Just put the gmap folder in the correct directory for your Windows OS and the programs will find it. You just won't have the registry keys that's all. NOTE: Don't use MS for shortcut or complete images for NA, there may be navigation errors result. Use only MI for that..... Since I have a portable MapSource.exe, can I just pull "City Navigator North America NT 2014.20.gmap" folder from the zip file instead of installing? thx
