    Hi people,

Just some doubts about ASR and SRD files inside ASR folder.

I have the nuvi 3597 US, but I use in Brazil with CNSA 2014.20. Using Webupdater I can't download PT_Br voice recognizing files to my unit.
The nuvis 3597 that is selling in Brazil came with voice recognizing working perfectly.

I just found the .SRD file PT_Br, but I don't have PT_Br .ASR file. So, I think, my unit works the voice recognizing without address search.

This happens because I don't have the .ASR PT_Br file or are there other things to do to fix address search from voice recognizing?
Someone have the PT_Br .ASR file ?

    Regards!

I tried to access the files, looking for the ASR file you need, in my new 3460 in perfect function, with the last version of CNSA 2014.20 and the new 2013 features.
Despite this, the system file is covered and I don’t able to see then.
It’s not my computer that is configured to show every system file, I guess the GPS software that is make to don’t allow me to see then, the system.
Anyone has the solution to I can gain access to the system file in my 3460?
PS: do you have the “Portuguese_Brazilian_Raquel.vpm” voice installed and working? This is necessary to speech streets names...

I tried Angelozip's files on 3490 South African Model but still no Voice command in Portuguese Brasil Language.
I have all the brazilian voices and texts loaded.
Spanish file works fine on 3490 as long as you have voices and texts loaded.
I guess 3490 firmware rejects this file. Any ideas ?

Dasilvarsa is good to know of your interest, the probability of success increases
I also tried some combinations of these files of the 3597 but the BR Portuguese Voice command did not work on my 3490.
Probably the Spanish file works fine on 3490 because they are native to this family of gps/firmware. I would say that if you use the spanish versions of files from 3597 also will not work.
There are interactions between srt, vpm and glx files with firmware that will probably require more than mere substitution, that is, we'll have to mess with them changing versions, parameters and maybe a few more, being quite optimistic. Particularly I think the main problem is in the compatibility of voice TTS3 of the 3597 (already noted by Neil) with complementary files and/or firmware, which seems to be quite complicated .. A radical alternative path would be able to install the firmware of 3597 in the 34xx, but it also seems pretty hard ..
This looks like a great challenge, we face it!

Unfortunately because of the different PCB P/N's of the units, flashing 3597 to 34/35xx is not just hard. It's probably damn-near impossible without high-level skills [kunix, Alex et al]. Way above my pay-grade but happy to help with testing of either that or file changes .....

*** Newbie Alert *** I download an unlocked IMG file of this map and copied to an SD card but there are no POI's, hotels, restuarants etc. When I search the map. I have trolled around this forum but can't seem to find an obvious answer. Can anyone give me a clue as to what I did wrong or if POI's are not included in IMG files. I have a NUVI 204 GPS. If I need to download a separate file can you give me a clue where to find it and where to put it on the SD card. Please help me its driving me crazy. Thanks
