Can anyone tell me the recommended/safest procedure to upgrade the device software to v7.6? I've heard horror stories about trying to upgrade at the Garmin site and the device being "bricked" if for example the process is interrupted for any reason, local electrical/Internet outage, slow connection, etc.

Update your nuvi with WEBUpdater Garmin,after this you can to use SD cards up a16 gb and have you can put in sd all North America

Webupdate in process... OK done, now I have v7.6. That was fast and painless.

Now I'm not sure I kept the CN NT EU 2014.2 file
Might need to DL it all over again and try.
