I have downloaded the CN gmap fro the first post and unlocked it. However, I can't install it with garmin express. DO you think that would be possible?

You need to install BaseCamp.
It will also install MapInstall which included in Basecamp.
Mapinstall can Transfer Map to Device.

Have updated files and used asr files from post 59 on my 2460, however when I use voice command it now shuts off when asking for address?, any fixes or alternate asr, asr from post 46 doesn't work.

Update: hard reset cured it, works fine now, thanks again. Damn back again.
ok seems to do it when in simulation with no sat lock, otherwise so far so good.

It is possible to have the path defined as you wrote, but the default for gmap folders in both Win 7 & 8 is C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps. A similarly named, but separate, folder named Program Data [with a space] will work fine, but perhaps that was just a typo by you.

a while ago I posted about loosing the 'traffic trends Europe 4.25' info listed under the map name and version:

Traffictrends version is listed when I turn on garmin, go to 'tools' , 'settings' then 'my maps'

I found this problem occurs when using files from different uploaders, maybe the files are different somehow ?

I used the gmapprom.img locked
cneimg.rar -1 RAR archive unpacked size of 3,312,975,872 bytes
rar MD5: 1330BD51BF2B48B7CEFAD25C938A13C1

From catymag and the SQLite\D317400.db from genius3 and all works fine now!

when I turn on garmin, go to 'tools' , 'settings' then 'my maps'
it shows:
CN Europe NTU
2014.10 ALL
trafficTrends Europe 4.25

You posted previous message on 15 June when the official map hadn't been released yet. When listing updated files on your device you also stated
"D317400.SQlite (same files as old map)"
So, now you have a new trafic trends file D317400.db from the official release & your problem has been solved, so your original problem was not due to the MapSource image.

you sound like your taking the problem I had personally ?

So I put the old D317400.SQlite back on my nuvi and the traffic trends Europe 4.25 still shows under map details.

so its not the fact I used a 'new' d317400 file because the 'old' one also works.

it must be the way the map is sourced, from mapsource or other place ?
