I believe that what you have in the IMG should work fine but here are the F & V records for that map installed on a 765 by Garmin.
My official version of the map does not include Mexico
V: CN North America NT 2014.10 US & Canada (0)
F: PID 1, FID 2920, CN North America NT 2014.10
also.. no JCV UNL file was EVER placed on the GPS

I also built a much smaller custom IMG from mapsource which works correctly with either JCV in a 765.
Here are the V & F records from that custom IMG.

Possibly you have the wrong JCV ?
The JCV is unique for each new map release and must be the corrcet filename to insure compatabilty with your GPS model.

Here are 2 identical JCV files that sefinitely work in a 765 for CN NA 2014.1
They are the full Versions and have different filenames names only because of where they originated.
