Apart from your statement not being clear as to what you exactly mean... if you mean the map does not have full coverage, then what in your opinion is missing?

I just pasted the JCV file in the system folder. There was another previous JCV file for the US map. I also copied the SID content in the SID folder. Is this correct what I am doing ?

The JCV file on a nüvi 7x5 or 8x5 model is stored in X:\Garmin\JCV (where 'X' stands for the drive letter of either the nüvi or SD card).

Hi, bit of a noob query installing maps with GmapTool or unlocked for all devices reduces search capability or something like that ? Cos the original file downloaded from the Garmin server is about 700MB, extracting the .img file is about 880MB but in Mapsource the whole map is just about 385MB.The total India map should be about 1GB, but that isn't the case.

If I wish to get the search ability how do I do it? I mean I'm clearly missing something here just not able to understand. I did go through a lot of the tutorials and help section but unable to understand this part, would be of big help if the workflow is just summarized.
