No, I have that set to English. I figured that setting was for BaseCamp menus and such. In BaseCamp street and business names are displaying in Thai. They are shown in English when using the GPS. Cheers.

OK, sorry i misunderstood your question. I'm not sure if you can change that for BC display. Maybe one of the local users knows and will reply.

The easyest way just load the English only version, then it's in English

I have the map installed on my Zumo 550, I know that's prehistoric, but most of the time when I'm on an elevated highway the Garmin will see me on the road below and vice versa.

Anyone else experience this, or should I blame a faulty gps unit.

Sometimes this can happen with any unit, because of up to two reasons. (i) Maps are notoriously inaccurate as to the actual positions of the roads at times. (ii) Non-profession GPS units usually have satellite accuracy of up to 15 metres. Let's assume you have accuracy of 10 metres (meaning you could be one way or another) and the road on the map is several metres off its actual position. If the errors are cumulative in the same direction, the unit's 'snap to road' feature may well wrongly place you on a parallel service road instead of the highway or vice versa even if the roads are 15-20 metres apart. In the case of elevated roads, laterally the two roads may only be several metres apart and although you have entered the highway the unit assumes you are still on the service road for instance. Only when the two roads diverge sufficiently will the snap to road feature move you to the other more likely road.

Thanks for the explanation Neil, but to more precise describe my issue, I have 2 locations where i frequently experience this.

First location is the elevated highway Chonburi - Bangkok which I normally use. When I enter the highway the will locate me as taking ramp. As soon as I reach the toll booth it will start recalculating and place me again on the road below. When I reach the next access point, while being on the highway already, the GPS will again tell me that I'm taking the ramp, then recalculate and say I'm on below road.The issue finish at the 4th access.

The second location is from Rangsit direction Don Muang, where i seldom take the Don Muang highway, but where the Zumo tells me that I'm on the Highway. I think overthere the issue stops appearing when I pass the airport.

I have Nuvi 2465 FW Thai.
Can I use TS_Dual map from post n1 together with JCV Thai from post n19?
Or do I need to use JCV Dual from post n4?

Help is appreciated.

Use DUAL jcv from post n4 with DUAL map
