A most generous gift indeed, Roger. Although, I don't think that you Italians should be gifting parts of Australia to New Zealand. Oh, what the heck, we don't care, let's just let the Kiwis have it:
On second thoughts, it seems we actually do care about it because it's at least a half-decent map tile:
So let's give them Norfolk Island instead. I'm pretty sure it actually costs us Aussies a heap of money and we don't get any taxes back. Geographically it's closer to NZ than AU, the permanent population are mostly descendants of the Bounty mutineers plus a few Aussies & Kiwis who are probably getting away from something/somebody, and although it's an AU territory it seems the map-makers can't be bothered including it in the CNNT AUNZ 2013.30:
Oh, wait... it is sorta in there, but not much to look at:
Even the World Map has more detail than the CN (well, any is more than none isn't it?):
Trust me, there really are more roads than that.
So why have the map-makers included Lord Howe but ignored Norfolk? Is it because Lord Howe is included in the State of New South Wales and therefore it really is 'a part' of Australia, whereas Norfolk (although self-governing with it's own Customs & Immigration Services separate from AU) is actually an Australian Territory and not (part of) a State? But then the NT and ACT are also Territories not States, and they'd never leave them out of an map of AU.
Anyone know why Norfolk Isl isn't included in the AUNZ CN?
