I just got a surprise. The English only version won't work with Garmin Base Camp. It works fine on both my Nuvi units. I put the version 12.1 back on a memory card and it works fine with Base Camp. There is an obvious difference somewhere.

My eng map has the MS flag set to '1'. For BC to see it, it needs to be set to '0' (zero):
