If you are unable to find and replace the Disk1.cab file as suggested by Peter, do as as Roger says and simply drop the folder City Navigator North America NT 2013.20.gmap in the correct place for MS and BC to find it:
in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps
or
in Vista/Win 7 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps
The registry will not be updated but it will work normally. If your reason for installing using the msi is so that the registry is updated, you can update it manually using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Just follow Step 1 in the pic:
If you have the locked MS version, follow Steps 2 & 3 to unlock.

Hello!
There is a version dedicated to mexico or this map is the best choice?
Ola!
Existe uma versão dedicada ao mexico ou este mapa é a melhor escolha?
@casemiro
Yes there is a Mexico only version available.
If you're not in a hurry for it, i can upload Mexico only as an image in the next day day or so. Let me know here or by PM if you can wait and also if you would like the lower US border tiles as well. MX only is about 125MB, with the extra border tiles about 190MB.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
The release of 2013.30 can't be far off though, maybe wait for that?

Agradeço a proposta! Mas não será preciso.
Já abaixei a versão completa (1.7GB).
Minha preocupação é se estou com a melhor versão para utilização.
Estou viajando Sabado para o Mexico.
I appreciate the offer! But you do not need.
Already lowered the full version (1.7GB).
My concern is if I have the best version to use.
Saturday I am traveling to Mexico.
Ah, i misunderstood. I thought you meant a MX only version of this CN obviously. You need to know if there are other (better) maps versions for MX. The [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] lists others, this one is reputed to be good, (see comments in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])but it's older of course: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The dl links are still active. No problem to have two maps covering the same area on your unit as long as you only select one at a time. I'd take both with you and use the CN in metro/urban areas and the GPSAtlas in rural areas.

Ok!
Obrigado pelas dicas!
Ok!
Thanks for the tips!
Okay, I am way confused with map update. It might be because I read a lot of the earlier posts which are now obsolete. I have a 755T and I downloaded the files that apply but I am not clear as to what/how I should use. The following are my questions:
Q1: Is there a limitation on the SD card size that can be used? I was going to use an 8 GB card but I am not sure my 755T will recognize.
Q2: I was hoping to put the update on an SD card so as not to affect my existing configuration. From the tutorials ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]), it appears that once I use the SD card, the unit will not work properly if I remove the SD card. Is this still true?
Q3: Some of the tutorials reference Basecamp, MapSource, MapInstall and HomePort. It is my understanding that some of these are no longer supported from some of the threads. For the unlocked images, can Windows Explrer simply be used? Someone with more experience may want to clarify the obsolescence issues upfront in some of the tutorials and indicate the current preffered method.
Q4: I took the original MapSource data and used one of the unlockers (NOTE that GarminUnlocker.exe which uses the .tdb file did not work for me) as Mapsource and MapInstall were saying it was locked (yeah duh, I realized that afterward). I ended up using MapInstall and put on my 8 GB SD Card. I see it created a single file (gmapsupp.img) and that's where the duh moment kicked in (unlocked map is already this file). I have not put SD card in my GPS yet. Could I have simply copied the unlocked gmapsupp.img file directly to my GPS? I don't currently have a gmapsupp.img file on this GPS and I don't think there would be enough space.
Q5: From the file structure of my GPS unit, it looks like the GMAP3D.IMG file goes in the Garmin subdirectory since it is already there. A quick check of my 755T does not show these files at all:
D3060070A.JCV
D3153070A.JCV
D3397050A.DB
D2656080A.SID
D3157060A.SID
D3398050A.SID
D3406050A.SID
0464H4AO.SRX
0464H4AO.ASR
How/where would I put these files?
Q6: From what I see, can I simply copy the gmapsupp.img and GMAP3D.IMG files to the Garmin directory using Windows Explorer and consider the update complete?
Sorry for my confusion, I may be overthinking things.

Lets keep it simple.... To update a 755 only 3 files are involved and they are a matched set with each release.
1. gmapprom.img the detailed maps
2. gmap3d.img the 3D buildings (this is optional for giving you 3D buildings view if enabled and it really slows down the drawing speeed on a 755
3. DxxxxxxxxA.JCV is the Junction view file, also optional. You will not see any junction view photos without it.
gmapprom.img and gmapsupp.img are interchangeable names. In other words you name/rename this file depending on where you use it.
gmap3d.img and gmap3d1.img are also interchangeble names. In other words you name/rename this file depending on where you use it.
To update a 755 internally you need these names and paths
x:\garmin\gmapprom.img your maps
x:\garmin\gmap3d.img your optional 3d buildings
x:\garmin\JCV\DxxxxxxxxA.jcv your optional junction view files
To update a 755 with the new maps on SD you need these names and paths
x:\garmin\gmapsupp.img your maps
x:\garmin\gmap3d1.img your optional 3d buildings
x:\garmin\JCV\DxxxxxxxxA.jcv your optional junction view files
Note... gmapprom.img, gmapsupp.img, gmap3d.img are files you would be downloaded. You may find LOCKED or UNLOCKED versions of these files. Download UNLOCKED copies if you can find them. If you get LOCKED files, download the "GImgUnlock.exe" tool and unlock them yourself.

Q1: Any Kingstone SDHC (4-8 class) card work well on my Nuvi 765 for example! The best value for the amount of 16Gb today. I of course have limitation in 4Gb for first and second map on card (8GB totally) but I need in addition space for 3D.IMG and JCV files and so picture and POI.
Q2: If you remove the SD card with maps of course maps in the device will not be! Nuvi work with only a memory card inserted into the device. If the card in your pocket is not serious to wait what Nuvi read it
Q3: Basecamp, MapSource, MapInstall and HomePort is actual program and work fine if you know what you want to do with its.
Q4: Stupid question because you have not done anything. Try and then ask!
Q5: Only JCV will work on your Nuvi. D3060070A.JCV is suit for you. But not at all intersections is in it. Be realistic!
Q6: If you do it as written in this forum so it is no doubt in success. Have problems - ask!
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
