There are no errors "bugs" in this City navigator Map !!
The map is less detailed in certain areas "Farms and Small Towns" when compared with "OTHER MAPS".
In certain areas "Cities and Highways" CN is the most up to date Map.
All New Nuvi's 2011-2012 models sold in South Africa come Pre-Loaded with City Navigator Maps.
They Also offer some free update period usually up to the end of the year of purchase.
Check out the Nuvi 40 Advert.

hi
a silly question.
My Nuvi a 1490 LT and Nuvi 3590LT. it says it has lifetime trafic yet cannot find out how to get this as online it only notes trail and one year subscription.
also has free map upgrade within 90 days of registration, yet some maps are only available after that as it come with latest maps loaded.
so what benifit is this.
please advise as not sure where to get the lane asist etc for southern africa.
thanks
Regarding the Traffic Question, Please phone GSA - Garmin South Africa, They will help you.
Your 3590 Should have Free Map Upgrades until March 2013 - When they become available you will be able to download them From MyDashboard.
Lane Assist is built in to the City Navigator MAP, you dont need any files for the 1490.
Junction View you need the File D3529040A.JCV
You can get it from Bam-Bam post [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Here is the Direct link [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
