Nothing else needed if he's only going to Greece, although you could load some speed & redlight cam .gpi files: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. In your 1300, either put the image file on your unit in a root folder named Map as anyname.img [eg: HellasAutoDrive.img]. Preferable to have such maps on a microSD card imo, in a root folder Map as said or in a root folder Garmin named only as gmapsupp.img.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] should make their first post as a new Intro Thread in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Dear Juancho if your father plans are to visit places near mountains such like villages with off road network or trails (Greece is full of them) you should download Greek Anavasi [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and use it as Neil suggested. Don't forget to change TYP file as you can read in Anavasi's first post and that you shouldn't have them both selected in maps menu, only one at a time.
.
Thanks for the answers and tips, Im using a micro SD card to load the greek maps, Auto Drive Hellas and Anavasi.
Ellinas I dont understan what means "Don't forget to change TYP file"
Again, thanks to both for your help.
