On a sd card (G:\) you can write:

    1) In fodler G:\Garmin\JCV\ the JCV file
    2) In folder G:\Garmin\ASR\ all the ASR files from here, for every new version of CNEUNT
In device, you will keep the folder Device:\.System\ASR\ which has the files of the languages that are enabled (those files are updated with WebUpdater).
    3) In folder G:\Garmin\SID\ all the SID files from here, for every new version of CNEUNT
    4) In folder G:\Garmin\ you can write the map file for CNEUNT, using the name gmapprom.IMG
    or
In folder G:\MAP\ you can write the map file for CNEUNT, using any name you like (but always with the extension .IMG).

Also, you can write a Nautical chart-map (G2 or G2 Vision ) in folder G:\Garmin\ with the name gmapsupp.IMG (for HomePort to read it)

People ask this because they don't like the map, the best you can do is use:

Garmin's City Navigator Europe NT maps are NAVTEQ maps, which is a company owned by NOKIA but operates independently.
NAVTEQ (NOKIA) has employees in every region (country) that implement additions, corrections and changes on the map.
Except for the people working for NAVTEQ in every region it's impossible to know the exact differences between two versions.
You need "inside" information for this and I mean for every different region (country)!

Garmin's CNEUNT 2013.10 is NAVTEQ Q4/2011 map version.

NAVTEQ's most of the wolrd mapping by now, is Q3/2012 (closing end of May)
But some regions are still improving Q2/2012 maps.
The reasons for the delay of NAVTEQ's World Map are that the NAVTEQ Map is compiled as a world map and not as regional maps and that military authorities of some countries delay to approve their maps.

Finally, Navteq.com, MapReporter.navteq.com, Maps.Nokia.com they all show now Q3/2011 NAVTEQ maps (or else CNEUNT 2012.40 for Europe)
So, if you've reported a change or a correction and has been implemented on Q4/2011 NAVTEQ-CNEUNT 2013.10 you will not see it on those sites, but you can see on your Garmin.

Believe me when I tell you that NAVTEQ people are doing a great job updating their maps and checking one by one hundreds and thousands of regional reports by Nokia, Garmin, Navigon, NDrive and other navigation software users in order to improve their map.
All the maps we use are one or two versions behind the original NAVTEQ maps, but it's OK, we can wait for good and reliable stuff 896647

Garmin doesnt offer a changelog for map updates. It's impossible to list in detail all the changes for new roads and changes to existing roads, for the whole Europe or other regions.
Garmin offers a Map viewer in it's map product page:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
    Look at Coverage Details tab.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

It's an interactive map, you can zoom to any area and check for changes.
You can also compare the new map Coverage Details with the ones of previous one

You have to navigate to get to the good.
