afaik the map hasn't been sold to anyone. older version get licensed out to papago i believe

Very good project , maps are downloadable for everyone and the forum is full of infos for all users, probably one of the best map for Brazil and users are very active in many forums to give feedback and useful contributes.Updated every month.

All these are free and open projects, forums are opened for users and they can partecipate,get infos and help, download, to be involved and contribute in a friendly context.
Restrictions ,I guess ,are self-defeating and generate suspects, like we can read above.
