Can the City Navigator (without additions) be used on a Dakota 20 (handheld) or is it only for car navigation?MacPro, 2x 2.8 Ghz, OS X 10.6.8

Sure you can,when using it in your car use the City Navigator and Automotive profile. Although the Dakota does not speak the street names it will give an audio beep for upcoming important notifications-

City Navigator NT maps will work fine with a Dakota 20. I'm not sure if you should use the Unicode version NTU or the ordinary NT if you try CN Europe NT(U).
