downloaded and extracted OK but where is the installer please ???

catymag, did you mean you have NO files in G2S folder?

Is the instaSearch really instant? Even if I delete all *.sid files, I can still see results as I type with the same delay in 3 seconds.

The new devices (e.g. 2x95, 3490) have no G2S folder, therefore is now the SID folder.

you got a Mapsource Gmap folder ,copy it in:
(in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps) or
(in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps)
You'll have your map in Mapsource.
To unlock use:Garmin gmap and family maps (Mapsource) unlocker

Hi,
I was just wondering why there is no height visible like in my old CN2012.40 map (see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]). Did I miss to correctly install some files?

And it's also strange that with same window dimensions (and scale), the horizontal extent changes, while the vertical stays the same.

You're comparing the additional "gmap3d.img" file for City Navigator Europe NT 2011.40 with the ordinary CN map for City Navigator Europe NT 2012.40. The results might be more consistent if you compare CN EU NT 3D 2011.40 with CN EU NT 3D 2012.40 or CN EU NT 2011.40 with CN EU NT 2012.40.

Thanks for your answer, yes, looked like I installed the wrong dir, I meant to use the NTU version. But this shouldn't change too much in this case I think.

I also have the gmap3d.img file, but thought this contains only the 3D buildings and not 3D surfaces? But I would use it if I knew how to integrate it into Mapsource/Basecamp. In the Thread you linked I could only find informations regarding installation on the device.

Don't wanna sound greedy, but is it possible to upload the files from post 11 and 13 also to Zippyshare?
All other filehosters give me speed of 1kb maximum. Really a pain in the a...
