A10 has similar file system to Nuvi 1xxx/2xxx/3xxx etc Series. Look at these threads:

Thx for the links provided, it helps to improve my understanding.
But I had tried all methods suggested..Still not sucess..
I prefer to save map in my SD card..(A10 root I reserve for my country original map)
Below is what i had tried to save other map in SD card..

    1. Create new folder "map" in my sd
    2. Place img map inside this folder [sd\map\.img]
    3. Rename "gmapprom.img" to "topomaps.img"...[sd\map\topomaps.img] - just to prevent same name with my country map (ori)
    4. For JCV file, i placed it in [A10\system\JCV file]
    5. I think that's all steps recommended by all experts..
when i finished all steps and check in my garminasus nuviphone [setting\navigation\map info], no new map list appear...only my original map..

What's wrong with my steps? really need precious help from you guys..
I had tried putting the maps since 1 year ago..almost giving up..
I love to travel..that's why i invest in this garmin nuviphone..
i really hope it wont disappoint me..
