Important!
At updating of the new version of a map updating 3D objects's map don't occur - it delete (remains only GMAP3D.SUM). Therefore before updating keep GMAP3D.IMG from the previous version of a map (2012.40)!

Did they update 3D buildings at all in this version then? Or it is just an error in the updater program?

At updating Сity Navigator Russia Nt 2013.10 GMAP3D.IMG isn't updated. On messages of various users at forums GMAP3D.IMG file at updating simply leaves. Similar it is feature of release of a new map CN Russia NT, instead of failures in work updater.

Strange to hear it! On my Nuvi 765T works fine the new 3D and JCV too.

Odd. Usualy even if they don't update a file, they just update it is header.
