I think you are a little confused ...

After installing Anavasi in MapSource if you want to change the color palette of the map in your PC you must replace the file AnaDigit.TYP inside the Anavasi MapSource map folder (from that folder you did the installation) with the one of your choice. It's for the best to unistall the map, change typ file and then install it again.

The steps from 1 to 4 have to do with the map in IMG format not in MapSource. This map has only one file named gmapsupp.img & that's the file to use in "Change TYP File".
