Thank you for the files and your instructions. Worked on my 1490t. For those who are still confused, my procedures are as follows:

    1) Download the two img files (cityXplorer NA 2012.20.img and CXNA.img) from the links above.
    2) Download Jetmouse keygen from this post:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    3) Run the keygen, enter your unit ID, select "custom mapset" from the second dropdown menu, enter 800 in FID box
    4) Press OK and then the second Generate button on the main program
    5) Save the generated code as cityXplorer NA 2012.20.unl
    6) Place all three files to the Map folder of your microSD card (SD:\Map)
    7) Voila

This is my first attempt at unlocking a Garmin map. If there are any missteps, please feel free to correct me. Thanks to all who have contributed.

Thank you very much for your step by step instruction. However, please advise:
    1) how to save .unl file?
    2) should I put all those 3 files to the folder: \Garmin or to \Maps or to \Garmin\Maps?
    3) how do I know it works or not after I complete install this CityXplore?

Create an empty file on your computer. Give it a name with a unl extension (cityXplorer NA 2012.20.unl in this scenario). Copy and paste the generated code inside the empty file. Save the file.

    2) should I put all those 3 files to the folder: \Garmin or to \Maps or to \Garmin\Maps?
The three files will go to SD:\Map folder. On a side note, City Navigator North America map and junction view file will go to SD:\Garmin and SD:\Garmin\JCV folders, respectively.

    3) how do I know it works or not after I complete install this CityXplore?
Move (or copy and paste) the three files from your computer to the (micro)SD card and insert the card to your Garmin device. Turn the device on. If done successfully, you will see a message informing you of the availability of CityXplorer map on your device and that your can start using the pedestrian mode.
