Map downloads from Garmin will only fetch the map and additions that apply to the unit connected with the map purchase.
If you, as an example, connect the map purchase to a nüvi 5xx, nüvi 11xx or similar device you will NOT get the 3D & JCV additions. If the purchase instead would be connected to a higher end GPS like a nüvi 3790, then you will receive the 3D & JCV files from Garmin.
The friend who provided this map doesn’t receive the 3D and/or the JCV additions to his Garmin unit. Hopefully someone who receives 3D & JCV files will add the files by posting them later in this thread.
If I can get the files I will obviously post them here.
