Just run Garmin webupdater
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Have you checked which version do you have on nuvi? Probably you have it already

Not a lot of difference between 5.00 & 5.01 anyway. Neither does WebUpdater offer me 5.01 for my 3790 which has 5.00 loaded. If you really don't have it already and you definitely do want it, just download it from this thread, make sure that you [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in windows and place it in your nuvi's .system folder named as gmapbmap.img only.'Thanking Posts' are banned. For devices which cannot use DEM from the basemap, or you want to replace your old regional [Pacific, Atlantic or Americas] Auto Routing one with a World basemap, or if you just want to save some space on your unit and do without DEM when zooming out, here is a Worldwide Autoroute V5.01 Basemap with the DEM removed:
