Default cenrut: is there esri source for this?

I stumbled on CenRut, which is a community mapping project of Central America. It is actually quite accurate. I'm a little confused on their licensing terms. First, the project seems like an open community effort, however the only files found on their site are NT img files. I'm unable to find a working mailing list / forum or contact emails. Does anyone know if this is an open source project or simply someone's pet project held closed? I would like to edit one of the maps, however am unable to find anything that is editable. GPSMapEdit will not edit the NT based map.

    Thanks so much!

I agree! They talk like an OSM (Open Source Map), but that's a little confusion because if you not a high member of Cenrut you don't have access to the source code of map; maybe there are only one who, alone, edit the map...

The main point to me is anyone can join the "Cenrut's community" and can contribute with the map sending tracks, waypoints (in both cases, send they the GPX folder compressed as .rar), preferably adding tips (important you give a little description of the way you passed, and any error or faulty way you observed; put yourself in the place of the map editor, he can be confused about the way you send…)…
I not notice any intent of ends the project... My opinion is the project is a little slow because they depend of these contributions to make any progress. Or the map is already very good and not too much to improve, or simply there is a lack of contributions.

    Best regards!
