But it is no MapSource Installation needet to change Typefile.

Use Change TYP File 1.0.0.1 by Pietu to change directly in the Image File:

To have it in Basecamp copy it in a Garmin folder in sd and insert it in your pc.
To have it in Mapsource follow

What you mean with regular map? There is no regular Topo Map whole Europa from Garmin only countries

The recreational map is a simple Topo Map 1:100.000 without routing data and has nothing to do with CityNavigator Europa for example.

All files are set 2% recovery record. So you can repair them if they're corrupted.
