Basecamp can see locked maps too. Try with the locked .img and see if you can see something zooming in.
I've any other idea, if Basecamp sees it, you should see it zooming.
Which Basecamp version do you have installed ? Coz in 3.1.1 version there were problems displaying this map
Changes made from version 3.1.1 to 3.1.2:
Fixed problem with not showing the correct map layer for cards that contain raster data (such as GB Discoverer).

Cant print it , but this is a Gmaptool problem as written in the popup shown when selecting the map in Basecamp library
