It appears that the problam was indeed an unpatched MS.
I think I have very recent firmware (4.00 if I think I'm reading my device correctly) so I'll see if I need to unlock it further with fast-img-unlocker. My main issue up to now was it not working with MS yet. I'll also try and compare if there was a difference between the old MS transfer (that worked like I stated) and the new one.

I do have a small question what do you mean when you write "I dont have .gma file and this map has fid over 2200". Am I correct to think fid stands for map ID number? If yes is there a big change after 2000 number?

K a bit of promised feedback. It appears that the step with fast-img-unlocker was not needed for it to work on my device.
