Thank you, catymag...I DID see that folder, but isn't it being used by my North American Maps? I have the Nuvi 1300 and my Costa Rica map is on the same hard drive that the North American map is on. The Costa Rica 6.1 version worked just fine in November.....and I was even surprised how well....because it did "stuff" my Garmin had never done before! It started "chiming" when I was coming into speed zones; same "chiming" as I was entering San Jose to remind me about license number day, etc.! All because of YOU, my cyber friend.

I did look inside that GPX folder and there really wasn't much in there anyway.....the .gpx files that were in there are dated today in fact. I just thought that if I replaced the folder, it would muck up my North America map. Advice?! Thanks!

Some of "US", while semi-smart, don't have all the knowledge base catymag et. all have. I still would like to know how what happens should I replace my existing .gpx folder with this new one, given I share off of the NUVI 1300 hard drive the lower 48 USA map and the NatStar map for Costa Rica on the same hard drive.

Simply put, will it impact on my navigating abilities here in the USA to replace the .gpx folder with the one donwnloaded for CR??

One doesn't learn if one doesn't ask, eh? Thank you!

    Add info....

Must be careful not to exceed the limit of 1000 WP for your model.
These are a total of CR n° 135 ... but we do not know any you have in the device.
Delete only files in GPX nav is useless: the WP are stored in a non-volatile in the device.
Those older you will have to delete them one by one or in blocks ... or a master-reset the device and/or erase all user data

    Bye,bye
