I don't see the new highway on the latest map. it is not different from 5.09 version. Doesn't it go from San Jose to Caldera on the pacific coast?

I have not used V6 yet, I had the version pervious. The previous version does have the new highway and routed me directly from the San Jose Airport to the pacific coast (in my case, Jaco). If I remember correctly 1.5 to 2 hr drive. Almost 4 hours w/o the highway from previous trips. It is a toll road, so bring change......and they do accept US currency for us idiots who forgot to get money exchanged at the airport. This is an excellent map and the POI file (also in this thread) has the safety/speed cams in it.

@wonderful - I found this map to have more detail than the Garmin South America Map, or other Costa Rica maps I found.
