Starting with 2010 1xxx series, all automotive units have the factory-loaded maps in hidden .System folder. Starting with 2012 devices [that includes nuvi 2797] there is also a default MTP [media transfer protocol] as well as MSM [mass storage mode] which you're used to in your nuvi 255.
